How we've helped our clients
We’ve helped hundreds of businesses save money with our holistic approach to ecoefficiency. Through education, strategy, and comprehensive water, energy, and waste assessments, we provide practical sustainability solutions for our clients.
Energy Monitoring and Management
TEG is currently assisting several large manufacturing and industrial organisations to monitor and manage their electricity. Partnering with Enigin Partners who supply the monitoring equipment, TEG is able to provide evidence based energy (and carbon) savings to our clients.
Risk based water recycling and reuse guidelines for red meat processing – AMPC
This project included a survey and review of current status of water recycling and reuse in red meat processing. The risk-based Hazard Analysis Critical Control Point (HACCP) framework was used to develop a guideline and template for water recycling and reuse opportunities for the industry.
Managing water runoff in red meat processing facilities – AMPC (2016-17)
This project investigated current stormwater runoff management and reuse in red meat processing facilities in Australia. A review of 5 technologies were undertaken that were applicable to the industry and a framework for good practise and opportunities for stormwater management was produced.
Energy Audit – Community Housing
A level 2 AS3598 energy audit was undertaken for Access Community Housing in Cairns on behalf of Engine Room Consulting. This involved an assessment of 32 studio apartments and 8 rooms. A tariff review was undertaken as well as recommendations for installation of solar PV and upgrade of the complex’s hot water system.
Energy Audits - Foundries
Level 2 AS3598 Energy Assessments were undertaken for 5 Queensland foundries as part of the Australian Foundry Industry, Energy Efficiency Information Grants program. Savings of up to $52,000 per year were identified through a range of energy efficiency measures including installation of solar PV to reduce peak demand, lighting and air compressor upgrades. Payback was about 4 years.
Development of the EarthCheck Carbon Calculator Benchmarking software (2008, 2010, 2012)
This work was undertaken on behalf of EC3 Global. It involved developing a national and international greenhouse gas emission calculator for various fuel, waste and wastewater sources for the EarthCheck Benchmarking Calculator – a tool widely used by the Tourism Industry.
Greening the food value chain – red meat and fruit & vegetable processing (2014)
We were commissioned by the United Nations Industrial Development Organisation (UNIDO) to prepare two reports on identifying best environmental practice in the red meat and fruit & vegetable value chains. This included information for policy makers, investors and industry stakeholders in the food and beverages sectors.
Public Sustainability Reporting
We produced the Dairy Australia 2004/2005 State of the Environment and 2007/08 Sustainability Report. These were produced to benchmark the Australian Dairy industry performance and develop a public report to showcase sustainability initiatives. The project involved gathering resource consumption and waste production data from Australian dairy manufacturers and assessing the performance of the industry in relation to specific key performance indicators.
